I started Butterfly Buns in February 2011 as a way to share my love of baking with the world. The name comes from my favourite thing to bake with my Grandma when I was a child - light, moist fairy cakes with the tops sliced off and rearranged as butterfly wings poking up out of a buttercream or jam topping. I'm a web developer working for a market research agency in Leeds, and my main area of interest is user interface design. I also recently gave birth to a gorgeous little girl, and can't wait until she's old enough to bake with me. I do most of my baking at the weekends for friends and family, and one day would love to give up the day job and open a cake shop!
